Professional Paver Repair Service by PaverPro
Paver Repair Services
Pavers are incredibly durable, but the ground and base beneath them can change over time. Settling, erosion, tree roots, drainage problems, heavy vehicles, and deteriorating edge restraints can all cause an otherwise beautiful hardscape to become uneven, loose, or unsafe.
PaverPro Restoration & Sealing provides professional paver repair services throughout Jacksonville, St. Johns, and surrounding Northeast Florida communities. Our team evaluates the cause of the problem and repairs the affected area to restore the appearance, stability, and functionality of your paver surface.
Sunken & Uneven Pavers
Sunken and uneven pavers aren't just unattractive—they can create serious trip hazards around driveways, patios, pool decks, walkways, and entrances.
Settling can occur for many reasons, including erosion or washout beneath the pavers, improperly compacted base material, drainage issues, leaking irrigation, snake beds and underground burrows, mole holes, and decaying or rotted root systems that leave voids beneath the surface.
Whenever possible, we address the underlying area before resetting and leveling the affected pavers.
Paver Separation & Edge Failure
The concrete edge restraint around a paver installation helps keep the entire system together. When that concrete cracks, deteriorates, or disappears over time, the outside pavers can begin moving outward, creating increasingly large joints and separation throughout the surface.
PaverPro can remove failed material, repair or replace damaged concrete edging, and reset separated pavers to help restore stability to the area.
Loose & Sunken Pool Coping
Loose, rocking, separated, or sunken pool coping can create both an eyesore and a safety concern around your pool.
We repair many common coping problems, including loose coping stones, failed mortar or adhesive, settling, separation, and uneven sections. We can also address adjoining pavers that have shifted or settled around the pool deck.
Tree Root & Root-Decay Damage
Growing tree roots can push pavers upward, while old or rotting root systems can cause the opposite problem. Once roots beneath a hardscape deteriorate, they can leave empty spaces in the base that eventually cause pavers to sink.
Depending on the location and severity of the root system, PaverPro can often remove or work around the affected area, rebuild the base, and reset the pavers.
Vehicle, Dumpster & Heavy-Load Damage
Residential pavers aren't always designed to withstand concentrated loads from large delivery trucks, dumpsters, moving trucks, construction equipment, or other heavy vehicles.
Excessive weight can cause pavers to sink, shift, crack, or develop deep tire depressions—particularly when vehicles drive over areas not designed for heavy loads. We can remove the affected pavers, rebuild and compact the damaged base as needed, and reset or replace the pavers.
Retaining & Block Wall Repairs
PaverPro can also repair certain sagging, shifting, or leaning landscape and retaining block walls. Settlement, erosion, drainage issues, and inadequate base support can cause block walls to move over time.
We evaluate the affected section to determine whether it can be disassembled, the base corrected, and the existing block rebuilt and leveled.
Additional Paver Repairs
We can also help with:
- Pavers removed or damaged during plumbing, irrigation, cable, electrical, fencing, or utility work
- Broken, cracked, chipped, or missing pavers
- Washed-out or deteriorated base material
- Low spots that collect water
- Pavers sinking around drains and downspouts
- Settling around pool decks, patios, walkways, and driveways
- Failed or deteriorated joint sand
- Pavers disturbed during fence, siding, or other construction projects
- Small sections requiring removal and reinstallation
- Matching replacement pavers when suitable materials are available
Don't Ignore a Small Paver Problem
A few loose or sunken pavers may seem minor, but movement can spread as surrounding pavers lose support. Addressing the problem early can often prevent a relatively small repair from becoming a much larger restoration.
